What This Week Taught Me About People (unscripted and raw)

This Week's Sunday Session...

This isn’t a polished video. No studio. No script. No tricks.

Just me, on the sofa, after a pretty rough week.

I broke my foot. Properly broke it. Surgery next week, months off my feet, cancelled gigs, loss of work… it’s been a lot to process.

But something unexpected came with it. Messages from magicians all over the world. Phone calls from people I haven’t spoken to in years. Kindness, support… even people offering to cover my gigs so I’m not completely stuck.

I didn’t expect any of that.

🤝 Finding Your People

And it’s made me realise how important it is to find your people.

The magic community gets a bad name sometimes… and yeah, there’s a side of it that can be tough. But there’s also this side. The side that shows up when it matters.

If you’re feeling isolated, or like you’re doing this on your own… you’re not. Go find the people who get you. And when you do, be part of it. Support others. Reach out. It matters more than you think.

🙏 Mean Your "Thank You"

And one thing that’s really stuck with me this week…

Don’t just say “thank you” out of habit. Mean it. If someone’s helped you, supported you, or even just checked in… take a moment and say it properly.

🗣️ Let's Connect

If you ever need to talk, reach out. Connect with me on Instagram or Facebook, and let's talk. You can search me personally on Facebook: Ric Edgell.

And genuinely… thank you for being here. 🎩
